Sky Poker Offering GUKPT Seats

It’s recently been announced that Sky Poker are now running satellites to the GUKPT and GUKPT Summer Series. It does make sense in a way as it will help strengthen both the sky poker room, as it will undoubtedly attract a whole new audience of high stakes tournament players, and bring newer players to play the GUKPT.

This now makes SkyPoker a red hot destination for UK poker players as they can qualify for the grosevenor UK Poker Tour and the Sky Poker Tour from one place!

For players looking for somewhere offering more than the usual then Sky could be the answer, live qualifiers, the Viva las Veags televised tournament, loads of gtd prizepools and to 100% honest really poor players!

Could all of the recent goings on at Sky finally mean they are taking the poker side of their business more seriously now?

The site is still full of errors and often you can’t get pages to load. The poker room which is instant play has had some connection issues but those appear to be resolved. If Sky Poker can get their acts together we could see a them move up in the rankings and become a real force to be reckoned with and the signing of Julian Thew is a good start!

Let’s keep our fingers crossed that Sky Poker build on their (quite) solid foundations and give players what it is they really want. Introducing GUKPT satellites is a big plus, TV tournaments are great, the Sky Poker Tour is fun, the future looks bright!
