This Sunday – August 7th – sees the first of the World Championship of Online Poker “mega-satellites” to one of the most anticipated early events of the WCOOP series.
The $20.00 + $2.00 tournament, which starts at 7.00pm (UK time), guarantees a minimum of 250 seats to WCOOP Event 3 – the $1.25 million guaranteed No Limit Hold´em Championship which was won in 2010 by Brazilian Joao Neto ($316,702.37) after nineteen hours of play.
This year, the $200.00 + $15.00 target tournament will be played over two days, with thirty-three 20 minutes levels played on Day 1 (September 4th) and the game played to a conclusion on Day 2 (September 5th).
More than 12,000 PokerStars players competed in WCOOP Event 3 last year, and although the numbers in 2011 may be slightly down due to the non-appearance of American players, there is still some valuable prizes up for grabs (1,530 places cashed in 2010).
