GUKPT London Schedule 2011
A short walk up from Oxford Street, and cushioned between Regents Park and Hyde Park in the London District of Marylebone, is the Grosvenor Victoria Casino. Home to the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour “Champion of Champions” tournament – which will be the climax of GUKPT 2011 – London also hosts the second leg of the countrywide tour from March 9th to March 20th.
Open 24 hours a day, the Grosvenor Victoria Casino is one of London´s leading gaming venues with a fabulous restaurant, late bar and live entertainment. You will often find many of London´s elite trying their luck at the casino, competing in the many poker tournaments hosted at the Grosvenor, or dancing the night away at one of the magnificent cabaret evenings.
However, all of the singing and dancing will be put on temporary hold in the middle of March, as many of the world´s leading poker players battle out who will emulate last year´s Main Event winner, Cuong Tran, who collected almost £200.000 in prize money, a seat at the Champions of Champions tournament and an excellent position in the GUKPT Leaderboard competition – the richest poker rankings system in Europe.
GUKPT London 2011 Main Event
This year, the GUKPT London 2011 has been extended from eight events to twelve to include an additional pot limit Omaha tournament, a turbo Hold´em freeze-out and two freezeout “Super Satellite” tournaments with guaranteed seats for the Main Event.
The Main Event itself starts at 2.00pm on Thursday 17th March and Friday 18th March, with a maximum of 200 entrants per day, and concludes on Sunday 20th March.
Direct buy-in to the Main Event is £1.500.00 + £90.00, or you can qualify through either of the scheduled freezeout “Super Satellite” tournaments or re-buy satellite tournaments that will be played at 2.00pm on each afternoon from Monday 14th to Thursday 17th March. Online qualification is also available at G Casino Poker using their GUKPT tournament feeder program, satellite qualifiers and sit ´n´ go steps system.
GUKPT London 2011 Side Events

You can experience the thrill of competing against some of the best poker players in the world in a wonderful live venue, without having to invest quite so much money in your poker abilities. Winners of GUKPT London 2011 side events are also eligible to compete in the Champion of Champions tournament back in London during November.
