The 2011 UK Poker Tour is in full swing and the summer series is at an end, we can look forward to more great live poker games as the GUKPT 2011 will no doubt continue to offer more events. Year on Year the tour has increased and provided more chances for UK poker players to partake in this ever popular game.

In 2009 the GUKPT introduced the “summer series” which were mini festivals of poker again held in Grosvenor casino around the UK. This time the main event buy-in was lower at £500 but players still experienced the same thrill and excellent live poker as would be found on the main tour.

Again in 2011 more events were added to the UK Poker Tour calendar and proved a huge hit with the loyal players and fans of the best UK Tournaments. The summer series took in more venues and offer main events running simultaneously at two separate venues with entry fees of £300 and £500. This again opened up the tournaments to more players and attracted newer faces to the game.
